The flowers that bloom and wither on the screen express the deep principles of long-standing ecosystems. Within just a few seconds, they reveal the invisible flow of energy that sustains life. These ephemeral particles embody self-organization, sustained by the natural entropy of energy. Through them, visitors encounter a delicate harmony between ecological systems and physical phenomena—a moment where the sublimity of the universe and nature becomes palpable.

Earth’s ecosystems have endured through self-organization, preserving matter while constantly resisting the pull of entropy. Yet this resistance has always come at the cost of immense energy. Today, as technology evolves rapidly—particularly through advances in AI—the emergence of innovations like nuclear fusion becomes vital for maintaining this delicate balance. The future depends on harmonizing the energies of nature with the forward momentum of science.

The fundamental principle of Face of Universe is to make the invisible—what cannot be perceived—visible. This work was created during the EMAP Residency in Košice, Slovakia, supported by Creative Europe/EMAP (European Media Art Platform). It features photographs of flowers taken throughout the city of Košice, which have been transformed by AI using techniques inspired by historical paintings. Through an analysis of color, the flowers appear to fall to the ground, as if drawn by the energy of gravity.
